The Montana Artists Refuge
is a member of Montana Shares,
a federation of Montana-based non-profit organizations working to promote our state's human, cultural and natural
resources. Members are working on issues
concerning women and families, the environment, health and hunger,
community arts and
culture, animal welfare,
social and economic justice and human rights.

NAN PARSONS RETURNS! Basin Show - April 15 - 30, 2008 After a winter of painting in Port Orford, Oregon, Nan Parsons, MAR founder, returns to Basin and will show her winter's work in the Hewitt Building storefront studio, April 15-30th. Christiane Buell at Holter Museum

YVONNE KUNZ will reside at the Montana Artists Refune during the month of April. She will research the history of Montana’s mining industry, and explore the stories of immigrants and mining; relating them to the myths of her own large Irish/German Catholic family from Butte in the 1950s.From this research she plans to begin a series of mixed media drawings and paintings.
