There are five studio and living spaces located in two historic buildings (1904) in this former gold mining town situated in the midst of the Rocky Mountains. The Hewitt building once housed a bank and later the Masonic Hall. Next door is the Dyott building, a former dry goods store. The Refuge has a large and small back and side yard for outdoor work or gatherings. Next door is a small public park created through a joint project of the Refuge and the Basin community. The Community Hall, which adjoins the park, is the site of Refuge fundraising events and is often available for use by artists for workshops or performances.
All apartments have access to wireless broadband Internet. Please be sure your computer has a wireless card. Rents include heat and private phone.
