Winter/Spring
, Portland-based filmmaker, has been called a "cinematic rabble-rouser." Her iconoclastic work reflects an interest in place, relationships between bodies and landscapes, and all sorts of borders. More about Vanessa's work can be seen at www.odoka.org.
Boston playwright 's residency was delayed by nearly two months because of the premiere production of his play, "A House Divided," in New York City. While at the Refuge, Sean completed his latest play, "Trick," the story of a long-term spousal abuse seen through the eyes of a child. In 2004, he received the Edward Albee Fellowship as a playwright.
(Seattle, WA) is a bead artist who is inspired by Columbia Basin petroglyphs and pictographs, to female figures, to a current series of crows specific to Seattle. Her large bas-relief beaded images can be found in numerous private collections around the country. reattached the remains to panels. “The
recycled pulp serves as super-scaled,
hyper-tactile paint.” She incorporated
inherent elements of Montana
landscape into her pieces.

the Refuge to return to her own work –
relief carved wood panels and mosaics,
