Alliance of Artists' Communities -- A nation-wide consortium and professional organization for the field which advances the role artist communities play in the evolution of new ideas and art. Through communication and service to their members, as a national advocacy for creative environments, and a belief in the power of the creative process, the Alliance operates on the premise that the future of American culture depends on supporting creativity and a broad diversity of artists. Alliance membership includes professionally run artist communities, other nonprofit organizations that support artists in the development of their work, and individuals. The Montana Artists Refuge is listed in their current publication, Directory of Artists Communities.
Butte-Silverbow Arts Foundation and the Arts Chateau, Butte - In addition to the main facility at The Arts Chateau Museum, BSBAF expanded the cultural center programs to include a building in historic Uptown Butte known as the Butte Silver Bow Arts Center (BSBAC). At this location, they are providing quality arts and humanity activities through a new gallery and lecture hall, artist-in-resident program, and increased community involvement at the arts center.

Poets and Writers Online -- Offers immediate access to a wealth of topical information, as well as a user-friendly vehicle for the exchange of ideas. P&W Online also provides a central meeting place and community center for writers (see the Speakeasy), as well as an ongoing forum for the literary field.
Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts - Founded in 1951, the Bray is a non-profit, educational institution dedicated to the enrichment of the ceramic arts, offering residencies and specialized workshops to ceramic artists from around the world. Located on the 26-acre site of the former Western Clay Manufacturing Company in Helena, Montana, the Bray facilities include year-round resident studios, site-specific sculpture, community class facilities, a sales gallery, a summer warehouse gallery, extensive kiln facilities, and a retail ceramic supply business.
Holter Museum of Art - Seeking to nurture the creative spirit and make the visual arts accessible to all, the Holter is committed to promoting participation through outreach, innovative educational programming, and collaboration with other organizations. The Holter Museum of Art serves Montana and neighboring states with quality visual arts exhibitions. Montana Shakespeare Company - With a company of actors from across the nation, the Montana Shakespeare Co. is Montana's resident, professional Shakespeare Co., performing full-length productions of the Bard's great works under starry summer skies in the Capital City.

Commonly referred to as "dART" by its patrons, The Internet Art DatabaseTM is an interactive venue allowing collectors to find art from over 3,000 participating Web sites. Art enthusiasts can converse with others to critique or comment on a specific artist, or in many forums, converse with the artist directly. The intent is to create a communal marketplace for collectors, artists, and dealers.
